African American History and Valenines Day...February is very busy!

Mrs. Mary Richards read a great story to our class about Anansi the Spider. The Read-in was a great success. Mrs. Richards is a retired educator/Principal. The kids were spell bound.

We read about George Washington Carver and his contribution to agriculture and peanut products. Then we learned to make peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

We made a book about the steps we need to take to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

 We practice reading everyday!

It's finally Valentine's Day! We exchange valentines.

We make a hat to wear around school today. We show our creative side.

It's so hard to contain our excitement today.

Even Jonathan and Mrs. Sosa dance. It was such an exciting day!
