Having the best of our "K" lives!~

 The last days of school we try to fit in some fun activities that the kids will love and keep them motivated. It's funny how they feel that summertime is almost here. Here is David with some glasses we re-purposed. He found them in a bush and I washed them and held them together with some pipe cleaners. He wore them all day. I think it made him feel like a superhero!

 Our three-day writing lesson culmination. We read around the school. We called it our "reading tour". The kids had to write a story that solved a problem and used dialogue. They did a great job!

 The Colgate bus came and checked the teeth of all the kids that had consent forms. They got a free toothbrush!

We had lunch in our air-conditioned room. Our cafeteria a/c is not working. It is really hot!!!

Bird Feeders 101

We actually made these last week when it was pouring rain. We stored them in the refrigerator until today, it was a beautiful day.

 Tom made a hat! He was very proud of it.

Career Day wrap-up!!

 This really busy day started with a presentation from Publix. They're always a pleasure.

 We had a master cake decorator! She even let me make a rose!

 Heidi was so enthusiastic and helpful.

 Next was Mr. Pabon, he's awesome. he let some kids break a board and spoke to them about paying attention n class and behaving well.

 After lunch we went outside to see the ambulance. We even got to go in one!

 The fire fighters are always the best! They have so much good information and are so well trained. They showed us all the equipment in their truck and gave us some great information about fires.

 We even got to turn on the sirens!

 Next, we got fingerprinted by the Corrections department.

 Last, two young ladies came from Main Street Dentistry to show us how to brush our teeth correctly and to remember to visit the dentist at least twice a year.

This weekend is Mother's Day weekend. I hope all the moms love their present the kids made them. They worked on that book for 2 weeks straight. Happy Mother's Day!
