First Week of School

      This first week of school we made a book about school. It was an exercise in following directions and the kids did great. We also started our math interactive journals. We are working on the numbers 1-5. For reading we are concentrating on three sight words and the color words. They need to recognize and read them.
   
      Home work will start on Monday. Homework binder goes home on Monday and needs to be returned daily to school, but the homework does not need to be returned until next Monday. I will also include the GO Math practice book that needs to stay at home and the pages required each week need to be included in the HW packet.I have 6 kids that have not turned in their supplies, that includes the HW binder. This makes it difficult to build that routine so please send them to school.
  
      September 9th will be our Open House from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. Please try to keep the kids at home so you can get all the information without interruptions.

 The first days of school includes jumping in with both feet and getting to work. Welcome to Kindergarten. I will be posting pictures each week and sharing all our experiences in Kindergarten. Check into this site often parents and you will get a window to our class.
