The very Last Day of Kindergarten!!!

As we watch our memory CD graciously made by Emma's mommy, we are reminded of all the memories we made this year. The friends we made will carry us to first grade these friendships will last a lifetime. I usually make a memory CD for my students and my parents and because of this blog I didn't make one. It is a lot of work matching music and loading pictures and of course computers always have glitches so to my surprise I was given one this year. I am so thankful to Mrs. Curbelo because I know first hand how much trouble she went through to make it. I thank you from the bottom of my heart! Of course watching it made me cry and it made all the kids remember too. They kept shouting "I remember when we did that!." It was very special to share this as a class.

This was our last time outside as a class.
Our end-of-the-year party was a success! Pizza, juice, chips and cupcakes, the staples of a great kid party!

We shared this time with Mrs.Castro's class.

Then like any good party we danced! We played freeze dance a lot! We made a circle, like I do every year and we go around and say what the best thing about Kindergarten was. There were green eggs and ham and career day, playing outside and our field trip. How funny that no one ever says learning to read or adding. Goes to show what the kids think are most important. I will never for get this year either. Your kids get so excited about riding a yellow school bus for the first time and eating lunch in the classroom, opening that new box of crayons every beginning of a new marking period,  it reminds me that the little things are the things that make a difference to the little ones. Have a great summer! Yes, you will be those kids that say hello to me in the cafeteria or the hallway, you have become first-graders!
