Valentine week!

This week was so busy. We learned about Ruby Bridges. The kids are always amazed how crazy our world was a long time ago. To them it didn't even exist. The story of the first African-American little kid to be integrated into a white school is unbelievable for those of us that did not grow up during that time. It really is a great reminder to learn about these famous Black Americans because we CAN'T go back to discrimination, we must move on and help our kids see how we are the same in so many ways and to appreciate the differences we all share.

Our day of friendship began with pictures and reading.

We made mom and dad a card with some sweet poetry. I hope all moms and dads liked it.

We started our mail delivery of all the cards they made for each other. There was so much candy!!

 Happiness is in friendship!

 Sam before sweets.
Sam after sweets. The sugar made her jump up and down.lol
Janie (my daughter) made cake pops for all my kids. My daughter is sweeter than those pops!! Thanks Janie!

Carolina is really loving the good ole USA!

Now to dance away the last hour of school at the school dance! Old students always dance with their favorite teacher, me!!!

Cheers to a great week!
