Today we took a road trip!

We traveled in our own RV today. Where did we go? We traveled to places we've learned about in the good ole USA!! The kids know where these locations are and they know some facts about them. Through the stories we have read they even know how to pack! I encourage all of you to plan a road trip, not just Disney, but to all the places we've learned about. Believe me, they make the best memories and are worth every penny spent.

First, we went to the Space Needle in Seattle, Washington. They know that there is a restaurant at the top and they get there by taking a very fast elevator. The restaurant spins slowly so you appreciate the view.
Next, we went to the White House in Washington, DC. They know that if the flag is visible at the top then it is a sign that the President is home. You can't go up to the door and knock because you must have special tickets to enter.
Next, we traveled to New York city to visit the Statue of Liberty located in New York city! They know that this statue  was a gift of friendship from France. You must also buy tickets online to go inside the statue.
Again in Washington DC we traveled to the Washington Monument. It looks like the number 1. It is a tribute to our first president, George Washington.
Last, we got to go to the Grand Canyon. We visited the South Rim in Arizona. This is an amazing sight and I highly recommend a trip there. It is spectacular!! We had a great time learning all these facts and traveling in our (pretend) RV.
While the rest of the school is still testing we are confined to our classroom so we decided to play a little inside. Mrs. Castro's class joined us.

We are exhausted today! Time to go home! Sorry your kids are a little dusty from our long trip. ;)
