ON the first day of December...

I have some Christmas wishes for my students.

My first wish is that they all have love for books and stories. You, parents, can help with this wish of mine. Please take your kids to the library. We've been discussing their local library and many have never been there. There's no better way to love reading and learning than frequent visits to the library. They can check out books free of charge, use the computers, check out movies for free and make new friends. They will be amazed and love the field trip you can take each week. Take that book and read every single night before they go to bed. Build that into your routine at night.

Kids that read learn more, go to college, become lifelong learners and are happy learning new ideas.
